Antonio R. Anzueto, MD, is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas; Chief of the Pulmonary Section and Medical Director of the Pulmonary Function Laboratory at the Audie L. Sanjay Sethi, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Division Chief of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and the Western New York VA HealthCare System in Buffalo. Donald P. Tashkin, MD, is Distinguished Professor of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr. Tashkin received his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the Philadelphia Veterans Administration Medical Center and a Public Health Service academic fellowship in chest disease and pulmonary physiology. Dr. Tashkin has been a guest editor for the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, CHEST, European Respiratory Journal, Thorax, New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, and Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He is on the editorial board of CHEST, Respiratory Medicine, Respiratory Research, and Emerging Trends in Asthma Management. Dr. Tashkin has received the Trudeau Society of Los Angeles Lifetime Achievement Award and the American Lung Association of California Gold Medal for meritorious service in the campaign against lung disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Chest Physicians, and is a member of the American Thoracic Society, among other professional societies.
